I love Halloween. I try to keep my decorating to a minimum....So I surprised my husband with this tablescape on our table. He loved it.

Photo Stamps

During the search for the perfect stamp for my wedding invitations I came across Photo Stamps. I knew that I did not want a photo of my then fiance and I but wanted something to match my invites. I decided to take a photo of the grass design on my invite. The result turned out great.

Now I am addicted to photo stamps. I just made these ones:

Here are a few examples of wedding related stamps with photos:

They even have a wedding advisor.

Centerpiece of the Week

I know what you are thinking.....these are aisle decorations and to die for aisle decorations at that! True but they would also make fabulous centerpieces. Really stunning.

Photo by the talented Michele Waite.

CTW: Three

My friend Karen from Huckleberry Karen Designs turned me on to Paper Bloomsters. They were recently featured on the Martha Stewart Show! Check out this great shot by Gene Higa.

I love this napkin ring placecard holder from Wrapables.

What about Petits Fours for favors? Dragonfly Cakes specializes in Petits Fours and can even put your monogram on them. With flavors ranging from chocolate to Apricot you will definately find something for everyone.

I love these Vintage Cap Candy Jars from Love, Me. They measure 2 x 1 1/2. Caps come in four different styles.

Cut Arts

Now had I found Cut Arts before my wedding it would have almost been a done deal....Maybe for our 10th anniversary celebration. Karl Johnson is a true artist. As it says on his website, "Each Silhouette is cut out entirely freehand. Karl simply looks at the subject's profile or photograph and starts cutting their exact likeness out of black paper."

Now this beautiful artwork does come at a price but these Silhouettes can double as your favors. Your guests definitely will be blow away by this.

Check him out at a recent wedding up here in Northern California:

Now if you simply cannot afford this unique set up at your wedding but love the idea why not take a picture from your wedding and have him cut a Silhouette from that. Here are a few examples:

I am seriously considering doing this for us. I just can't decide what picture to have him do....When I do order I will post pictures.

Centerpiece of the Week

I love this simple orhid centerpiece. This photo was taken by the talented Perspecta Photo. I have a love, or obsession, for all orchids. You could DIY this also!

CTW: Two

Now had I found these before my wedding they would have been in each bathroom! These soaps would have fit in perfectly at the Calistoga Ranch. Soaps come personalized with anything you want them to say. I would have put our names and our date 07.07.07! They can be ordered from Valsey and Me.

This is the Classic Box

This is the Formal Box

So I just ordered these chalkboard pots from Pottery Barn. I think they would make great Escort Cards, Place Cards and Favors. 3 in 1! You can write your guests name and table number/name on each pot and fill with herbs or any other small plant. I bet the pictures of all of these lined up at the entrance to your reception would look amazing.

I used these Place Card Holders at my wedding and they looked fantastic. You can buy them at several different stores but I got mine at one of my favorite stores Uncommon Goods. They also have the wine cork candles that fit inside the wine bottle.

Congratulations J & M

On 10.13.07 we traveled to the historic San Francisco Film Centre located in the Presidio. The architecture of this building is amazing so not much is needed in the way of draping or lighting. I had a great time pulling together this wedding. The bride and groom were great to work with and I congratulate them on their union.

The Palm Room:

Great angle shot by my husband.

The cake by Bev Tanaka. I consider myself a cake snob and this one was delicious.

Centerpieces were filled with rocks and orchids.
